Stargate (Pegasus)

I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis. When I came across joshuajpierce's design for a Puddle Jumper on Bricklink, I was immediately hooked. I downloaded Studio 2.0 and jumped right into trying to build it. Once that was done I OBVIOUSLY needed a Stargate to accompany it, and here we are.

It was a lot of trial and error to get the right circumference and scale to match joshuajpierce's Puddle Jumper, as well as capture as many details as possible. This was my first attempt at an original design since I was a kid, and I learned a lot! After the first test build, the ring obviously couldn't support itself, so I designed the event horizon to give it an internal structure. In hindsight, I'm very glad it didn't work at first, because I'm really pleased with the event horizon and how it all looks together!
